Allan Larcena, M.D. Internal Medicine Physician

For more than 30 years, Dr. Allan Larcena has proudly served the Slidell community, providing compassionate, patient-centered internal medicine care. He believes every patient has a unique story and takes the time to listen, understand their concerns, and develop personalized care plans that support their overall health and well-being. His goal is simple: to build lasting relationships and help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare.

Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Larcena developed an early passion for science, problem-solving, and helping others. He earned his medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine before continuing his medical training in the United States. He completed his internship and residency training in New Jersey, including training at Overlook Hospital, which was affiliated with Columbia University at the time.

Upon completing his training, Dr. Larcena was recruited to Louisiana to serve the growing healthcare needs of the Slidell community. The region’s warm climate, welcoming culture, and strong sense of community reminded him of his homeland, making it an easy decision to establish both his medical practice and his home here.

What Dr. Larcena enjoys most about medicine is the privilege of earning his patients’ trust and caring for them through every stage of life. Whether helping patients manage chronic conditions, recover from illness, or focus on preventive care, he believes in treating the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms. He takes pride in understanding the personal, family, and lifestyle factors that influence health, allowing him to provide more comprehensive and meaningful care.
